He was responsible for the crowd translation and software innovations that made Facebook such a success, and now has multiple patents to his name. He worked for Facebook first as a software engineer, and then as Director of Engineering from 2005 until early 2012. In the spring of 2012, he became the new CEO of Reddit. His departure from Facebook was relatively drama-free, compared to some other recent shake-ups in management at various technology companies. In addition to running Reddit, he also co-founded Mountain View, and serves as part of the advising team for Quora. He began writing for Forbes Magazine on technology issues in early 2011 as well, and is continuing to develop his own projects in his spare time.
